The Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport on the Gulf Coast hosted its 2nd annual Beach Day at the Wheel Way in Long Beach, MS, March 7, 2020. Mississippians with disabilities and their families had the chance to soak up the sun and sand as well as hear from motivational speakers and participate in fun activities at numerous booths. Kristy Cook, Program Coordinator, shared information on our program, handed out applications, provided hands-on experience with different augmentative alternative communication devices such as an ACCENT 800 & IPAD w/LAMP software. Project START connected with several new clients including networking with teachers and speech therapists.
