Mississippi Project START Funding Extended
Funding for Mississippi Project START has been extended through
June of 2004. Project START had been facing a cessation of funding
in June 2003. Recent legislation passed by the U S Senate and House
has funded all Tech Act Projects for another year. Project START
is appreciative of all the encouragement and support given by local
service providers and clients.
Sled Hockey Program at MMRC
Following on the success a long line of sports for the disabled,
the Mississippi Methodist Rehabilitation Center had begun a Sled
Hockey program for the disabled. Funding for the new program has
been provided by a grant from Project START. For more info on this
