Project Director

Patsy Galtelli serves as Director of Project START.   She has been employed by the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services for past 14 years.   She was appointed Director of Project START in February 2013.   Patsy, along with her team, works diligently every day to increase access to Assistive Technology for all Mississippians with disabilities.


Administrative Assistant

Nekeba Simmons came to Project START through a temp agency.  She soon discovered a passion for helping people and was hired as the Administrative Assistant full time in June 2013.  She is usually the first person you communicate with when contacting Project START. She has a gift of compassion when working with consumers and is always eager to assist.

Program Coordinator

Quincy Walker joined our staff April 1, 2015.   Quincy processes loan request, making sure items are working properly and loaned to consumers in a timely manner.  He oversees the re-use program working closely with the rehab specialist ensuring each consumer’s needs are met. Quincy also manages Project START’s iPad Lending Library and is eager to assist with all your assistive technology needs.

Rehab Specialist

William H. Smith has over 23 years’ experience in the healthcare industry and has a wealth of knowledge in the repair and refurbishment of durable medical equipment.  William oversees our recycling program.  He ensures the devices are refurbished, cleaned, sanitized and meet industry standards before they are passed on the consumers.  His years of experience allow him the ability to match the needs of the consumer with the proper equipment.
